A car crashed into HopMonk Tavern, a popular concert venue and restaurant located in Novato, on Monday morning.

No one was injured, but the building has been temporarily closed in order to conduct clean-up work, according to a social media post from the Novato Police Department.
“Earlier today (July 13), emergency crews responded to a car crash into the side of HopMonk Tavern,” the message reads on the Novato Police Department’s Facebook page, which was posted just after 11 a.m. “Thankfully, everyone is okay, but the building is currently undergoing safety assessments and clean-up. Due to the incident, HopMonk Tavern will not be open today until at least 4 p.m.”
Police recommend checking with the venue’s official webpage (hopmonk.com) or its social media accounts to see when the venue will reopen. No further information was provided as to what caused the crash or the identify of the person driving the vehicle.
HopMonk Tavern has a plethora of upcoming shows listed on its calendar events, most of which are part of KC Turner Presents’ incredibly popular Cookout Concert Series. Fortunately, none of these shows will be need to rescheduled, canceled or otherwise impacted by the Monday’s accident, according to promoter KC Turner.
