Orchard Music Series
The Orchard Music Series was set to kick off Sept. 17 at the Sunnyvale Community Center Amphitheater with a pop music mash-up by the Peelers.

Other concerts in the series are Chicago and Steely Dan tribute band Aja Vu on Sept. 24, with food from Waffle Roost, T-Mo and Mister Softee; contemporary pop, R&B and country by Pop Fiction on Oct. 1, with food by Chic N’ Bros, Sam’s Chowder Mobile and Luv’s Brownies; and dance party music by Pop Rockz on Oct. 8, with food by Fire & Slice Pizza, Me Oi and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck.

Sunnyvale needs volunteers for its annual Hands on the Arts Festival, set for Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive.

Event organizers are seeking help for art workshop leaders set up and clean up supplies, guide children through creative projects and provide customer service throughout the day.
The event runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Full- and half-day volunteer shifts are available, with lunch and a gift provided for those in the former group.
