The Lucas Fire grew to 4,008 acres near the rural Mendocino County community of Potter Valley and the Lake County line, Cal Fire said Saturday.

The fire was 15% contained as of Saturday evening with evacuation orders and warnings in effect in Mendocino County and Lake County.
San Francisco firefighters were also dispatched to help battle the fire Saturday morning, the departments said in a social media post.
A Saturday evening status update from Cal Fire said more than 1,200 personnel were assigned to the fire, with numerous firefighting air tankers from throughout the state also flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.
A Red Flag Warning is also in effect through Monday evening for Lake and Colusa Counties due to low humidity and high winds that could exacerbate fire conditions in the area, according to the National Weather Service. Officials said wind gusts could reach 20 to 35 miles per hour.
The Lucas Fire was first reported at about 10 acres on Thursday morning near the Mendocino-Lake County line 6 miles northwest of Upper Lake. By Friday morning, it had grown to more than 1,000 acres. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Evacuation orders were issued for several zones in Lake County and one in Mendocino County, while a dozen others were under evacuation warnings in both counties.
The Mendocino National Forest ordered an emergency closure for a portion of the Upper Lake Ranger District and campgrounds within the closure area include Middle Creek, Penny Pines and Deer Valley.
State Highway 20 was also closed at Bachelor Valley Road, Witter Springs Road and Saratoga Springs Road since Friday afternoon, Cal Fire said.
The Lake County Fairgrounds Baldwin Pavilion has been designated a temporary evacuation point and animal evacuation shelter, located at 401 Martin St in Lakeport.
