FREMONT – A 38-year-old man is facing an attempted murder charge in connection with a stabbing at a party in Fremont over the weekend, prosecutors said.

Taylor Maxfield Clausen is also charged with assault with a deadly weapon and personal use of a knife, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
The incident happened Saturday. Prosecutors said Clausen allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck.

“The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and survived the attack after receiving emergency medical treatment,” prosecutors said.
Clausen is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at the East County Hall of Justice in Dublin.
