A three-month investigation led to the arrest of a suspect in a residential burglary in Burlingame Hills, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

David A. Brown, 41, of Fremont, has been charged with second-degree burglary, theft by use of access card Information, identity theft and taking a vehicle without owner’s consent, among other crimes.
Deputies responded April 17 to a report of a residential burglary believed to have occurred the previous night in the 100 block of Los Robles Drive in unincorporated San Mateo County.

The investigation found that the homeowner had recently died and the residence was vacant.
Deputies believe Brown may be connected to other burglaries across the Bay Area. Brown remains in custody at the Santa Rita Jail in Alameda County.
