An 18-year-old Tiburon man was arrested on multiple felony charges following a domestic incident involving a 17-year-old girl, police said.

Officers responded shortly after 2:20 a.m. June 15 to the area of Avenida Miraflores and Tiburon Boulevard, after the teen fled a vehicle during an argument with Kamran Malek-Madani, according to the Tiburon Police Department.
Investigators said the girl attempted to exit the vehicle because she feared for her safety.
Police alleged that Malek-Madani accelerated in reverse while the passenger door was open and continued driving at a high rate of speed as she tried to get out.
Authorities also said he reportedly took her cellphone with force when she attempted to call 911.

After driving about 2.5 miles, Malek-Madani stopped the vehicle, and the girl was able to leave. She later walked to the Tiburon Police Department to report the incident.
Police said the investigation established probable cause for robbery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and felony child endangerment. An emergency protective order was issued for the victim.
Malek-Madani surrendered to authorities Tuesday and was arrested without incident after arriving at the police department with his attorney. He was booked into Marin County Jail and served with the protective order, which prohibits contact with the victim and requires him to remain at least 100 yards away from her.
