When investigators later arrived at the alleged crime scene — the family’s Morgan Hill residence — they found three minor children still there, according to a news release from the Morgan Hill Police Department.
Around 9:20 a.m., Roy Anthony Lopez, a 37-year-old resident of Morgan Hill, pulled up to Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, authorities said. First responders provided emergency medical care to the adult female victim, but she was later pronounced deceased due to her injuries.
Her identity will be released by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office pending identification and notification of next of kin.
Lopez was initially detained by officers from the San Jose Police Department, then tranferred into the custody of MHPD, authorities said. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
