PLEASANT HILL — A local resident in his 50s is facing 11 felony charges after police raided his home and seized guns, firearm parts, and thousands of rounds of ammunition, according to court records.

The 56-year-old Pleasant Hill man faces 11 felony counts of unlawful firearm activity and one misdemeanor count of violating a protective order, court records show. He was charged on Sept. 1, months after the Contra Costa District Attorney’s office raided his Babbette Court home, court records show.
The man was not home when the house was raided. Authorities say they were there because they believed he possessed guns in violation of a 2025 restraining order, issued after the man pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to probation.

Inside the home, authorities say they seized seven rifles, a shotgun, and four pistols, as well as more than 3,700 rounds of ammunition and various firearm parts. The raid was conducted back in May, court records show.
The man pleaded not guilty on Sept. 2 and was subsequently released from jail without bail, records show. He is next due in court on Sept. 23.
