MILPITAS — Google and other tech companies are considering a rental deal for a space in a new 294,000-square-foot building in Milpitas that could be used for advanced manufacturing or artificial intelligence work, according to several sources.

At 475 Sycamore Drive, the building occupies a 14-acre site near the corner of Sycamore Drive and Barber Lane on the west side of Interstate 880.
Super Micro Computer has joined Google in expressing interest in the building, according to several sources who are familiar with the Bay Area commercial property market. The sources were not authorized to officially discuss the situation.
Prologis, a national real estate firm, developed and owns the building, which was completed in 2026. Commercial real estate firms Cushman & Wakefield and JLL are seeking tenants.

The building can handle up to 4,000 amps of power, expandable to 8,000 amps, according to information shared by Cushman & Wakefield executives Erik Hallgrimson, Steve Horton and Kelly Yoder and JLL executive Gregory Davies.
The site has enough parking spaces for 225 employee vehicles, marketing materials state.
Google’s interest comes on the heels of the company’s opening of a new tech campus in the Alviso district of North San Jose that’s large enough to accommodate thousands of workers.
