The Garin Fire ignited in Alameda County, burning 10 acres by Friday night.
The wildfire started around 4:15 p.m. near Mission Boulevard and Garin Way in Hayward. By 5 p.m., the fire had burned at least 10 acres, but Cal Fire was able to stop it from growing further.

The Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit, Alameda County Fire and East Bay Regional Park District were responding to the blaze. The wildfire was at 0% containment as of Friday evening.
