SANTA CRUZ — Police are investigating a Monday night shooting in the parking lot near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
No injuries were reported.
Police did not give a time for the shooting, saying on Monday evening officers responded to reports of shots fired in the parking lot near the boardwalk.
In a social media posting Monday night, police said “no one was struck by gunfire, there were no reported injuries, and there is no active threat to the public. The scene is secure.”

The posting said at this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.
The gunfire did cause crowds at the boardwalk to flee to find safe spots.
