Friday is normally one of the biggest days during Comic-Con, and the halls and ballrooms at the San Diego Convention Center definitely shined bright with some of the most anticipated panels bringing out A-listers for a slew of big-name shows and films, from “The Walking Dead: Dead City” to “Blade Runner 2099.”

Here’s a peek at the celebrities at Comic-Con on Friday.
Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer
Fans will need to wait until Nov. 25 to watch “Blade Runner 2099,” the sci-fi television miniseries created by Silka Luisa, whose most recent project was the Apple TV+ series “Shining Girls.” But “Blade Runner 2099,” created for Amazon Prime Video, on Friday gave fans a sneak peek of what’s to come, with Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer on hand for the Hall H crowd. Ridley Scott is one of the executive producers, with the main producing studio being Alcon Entertainment, which owns all the rights to all things “Blade Runner.”
Rick Moranis and Daphne Zuniga
“Spaceballs” fans were all smiles Friday when the film’s biggest stars came out to Comic-Con to promote the upcoming sequel, “Spaceballs: The New One,” set for an April 2027 release. Among the the stars in Hall H on Friday were Rick Moranis and Daphne Zuniga, who both starred in the 1987 flick, with Moranis as Lord Dark Helmet and Zuniga as Princess Vespa.
Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman
The “Spaceballs” Hall H panel Friday wasn’t short on stars, for sure. Moranis and Zuniga were joined onstage by Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman, son of actor Bill Pullman, one of the original cast members who’s also returning in the sequel. The senior Pullman is reprising his role as Lone Starr.
Josh Gad
The actor known for voicing famous characters such as Olaf in “Frozen” (and the upcoming “Frozen 3”) also joined the cast on stage for “Spaceballs: The New One.” Gad played the original Elder Cunningham in the Broadway show “The Book of Morman,” and has a range of projects in post-production, according to IMBD, including “The Angry Birds Movie 3” and the untitled “Ocean’s” prequel alongside Bradley Cooper.
Eric Bogosian
Fans of “The Vampire Lestat” got a big bite Friday when the AMC series brought out its biggest stars, including playwright and actor Eric Bogosian, who plays investigative journalist Daniel Molloy. He was joined onstage by Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman and Sheila Atim.
Dave Franco
DreamWorks Animation’s animated adventure comedy “Forgotten Island,” set for Sept. 25 release, was hardly forgotten Friday when its stars, including Dave Franco, dropped by the San Diego Convention Center for a panel to talk about the film. He was joined by costars Liza Soberano and H.E.R., as well as writer-directors Joel Crawford and Manuel Mercado.

Mason Thames
Talk about a surprise: Actor Mason Thames joined Green Day at Petco Park’s Gallagher Square on Friday as part of Comic-Con, where Thames was on hand to promote the new film “Nimrods,” about a band that causes “mayhem and mischief as they race to Los Angeles to open for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.”
H.E.R.
R&B singer-songwriter H.E.R. — aka Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson — joined “Forgotten Island” costars Liza Soberano and Dave Franco for appearances at Comic-Con on Friday, including a panel where they talked about the mystical animated film. They were also seen on the convention floor.
Kyle Chandler
Coach Eric Taylor was in the house Friday when actor Kyle Chandler dropped by Comic-Con to attend a panel for “Lanterns,” the DC Studios series set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on Aug. 16. Chandler steps into the DC universe in the HBO-produced series in which he plays Hal Jordan.
Nathan Fillion
Let’s just say “Lanterns” is the DC series that just keeps on giving. Also on hand Friday was sci-fi favorite Nathan Fillion, who made a surprise appearance at the panel, saying he must have been left off the email list. In the new “Lanterns” series, Fillion plays Guy Gardner.
David Giuntoli
Fans of the NBC hit “Grimm” definitely got their “Grimm” fix Friday when the cast, led by David Giuntoli, gathered for what was billed as a “Grimm: 15th Anniversary Reunion.” The American actor portrayed Det. Nick Burkhardt in the NBC supernatural drama, which ran from 2011 to 2017. He was joined onstage by fellow cast members, including his real-life spouse, Elizabeth Bitsie Tulloch, the female lead on the show.
BINI
The eight members of the Filipina pop girl group BINI made multiple appearances at Comic-Con Friday, including the San Diego Convention Center and Arcade Monsters. The group also stopped by the ‘Forgotten Island’ panel to perform “A Parallel World.”
