SAN BRUNO — This calls for a victory cigar.
Someone playing the Fantasy 5 lottery game at a tobacco store in San Bruno split the $552,162 jackpot with another person in Southern California, winning $276,081 Thursday night, officials said.

The unknown San Bruno player picked all five winning numbers, which were 3, 16, 19, 30 and 33.
The ticket was sold at the Specialty Tobacco Outlet, 1230 El Camino Real in the San Bruno Towne Center.
The other winning ticket was sold in Beverly Hills.
A store employee who answered the phone Friday said she was not aware that someone had won playing there until a customer told her. She had no idea who bought the ticket but was still very excited and happy for them.

It is not the first time the store has seen a big payoff for lottery players. In July 2025 someone won $677,821 playing the Powerball game and in December 2014 someone playing the Daily Derby game won $409,720.
Thursday’s player has 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their winnings.
Fantasy 5 is played every night of the week. Friday’s minimum jackpot will be at least $83,000.
