Elon Musk plans to make his own version of the blockbuster interpretation of Homer’s “The Odyssey” using his controversial AI program.

“Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of ‘The Odyssey’ that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer,” the MAGA tech billionaire posted on his X social media platform.

Director Christopher Nolan’s film, based on the roughly 800 B.C. text written by Greek poet Homer, opened to rave reviews and grossed $264 million worldwide after its Friday premiere.
Critics of the film, however, including Musk, took issue with the movie’s inclusion of people of color. Most specifically, right-wing pundits voiced anger over the Helen of Troy character being played by Black actor and Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o.

“Our cast is representative of the world,” she told Elle in a May interview discussing the fictional film. “I’m not spending my time thinking of a defense. The criticism will exist whether I engage with it or not.”
Nolan told CBS “This Morning” shooting his epic production on location in six countries was very hard, but filming with real people in real locations was necessary to achieve the film’s authenticity.
Musk’s Grok Imagine tool requires no actors or film sets.
The South African immigrant, whose biographer says has been living in the U.S. since 2002, routinely expresses concern that white people are being marginalized in Western society. He claimed in January that “Whites are a rapidly dying minority,” according to The Guardian.
While many X users expressed support for Musk’s movie plan, Sean Lindberg has questions.

“How do you have a historically accurate mythological tale hahaha,” he asked.
Another person noted “The Odyssey” features a cyclops.
