SAN JOSE — Two 15-year-old boys are accused of robbing sellers at gunpoint during online sales meetups in the same San Jose neighborhood four days apart, police said.

Police arrested the boys July 14 in San Jose and Milpitas following an investigation into the April robberies. Both were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of robbery.
The first robbery occurred about 6:45 p.m. April 24 near Dobern Avenue and Penrod Place. A boy had arranged through an online platform to meet one of the suspects and sell him several items, police said.
After the seller arrived, a second boy emerged with a gun and the pair stole the items before fleeing, according to police.

Four days later, an adult man arranged a similar sale in the 2400 block of Dobern Avenue. When he met the prospective buyer about 7:30 p.m., two boys displayed a gun and stole his merchandise, police said.
Detectives with the San Jose Police Department’s robbery unit identified the two teenagers as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrests and searches, authorities said. Police reported recovering some of the stolen property but did not describe it or say whether they found a firearm.
