Starting at 11 a.m. that Saturday, the restaurant will give out free tote bags while supplies last.
The San Francisco-founded chain began in Japantown in 2017 and specializes in Hakata-style ramen, known for a rich, milky tonkatsu broth, made from boiling cha-shu pork for hours, served with thin noodles. It now has locations throughout the Bay Area, and others in Southern California, New York, Nevada and Texas.
The restaurant will also serve yakitori and a full bar menu with Japanese-inspired cocktails.

“We can’t wait to welcome guests to our new University Avenue location and share the comforting, authentic ramen experience that has made Marufuku a Bay Area favorite,” Eiichi Mochizuki, co-founder of Marufuku Ramen, said in a press statement.
The new shop will be across the street from Marugame Udon, which opened last year, adding to a growing selection of rich noodle soup options in downtown Palo Alto.
Details: Open 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. weekends at 374 University Ave., Palo Alto; marufukuramen.com.
