DALY CITY — Fire crews on Friday rescued a paraglider after he crashed into a cliff face in Daly City, authorities said.
The incident happened around 6:50 p.m. at Mussel Rock, according to the North County Fire Authority.
The paraglider — identified as a 59-year-old man — collided with the cliff face and came to rest on the side of the cliff roughly 400 feet below the edge, authorities said.
He suffered injuries in the crash and required a technical rescue, according to the fire authority.

Once rescued, the man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, authorities said.
No firefighters or other emergency responders were injured while rescuing the man.
