Kennedy Fuller and Karlie Lema both scored as Bay FC earned a 2-0 victory over host Racing Louisville FC on Friday to snap a six-game winless streak.

The goal by Fuller came in the 21st minute before Lema added an insurance goal in the 59th minute as Bay FC earned its first win since beating San Diego Wave FC 1-0 on May 3. Fuller, a midfielder, scored her first goal with Bay FC in just her second game with the club.
Since that victory, Bay FC had gone 0-3-3 to fall to 13th place in the NWSL standings. With the win over Louisville, Bay (4-6-3) moved into 11th place with 15 points, while Louisville (2-10-1) remained in 16th and last place.
Bay FC outshot Louisville 6-0 as goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz earned her third clean sheet of the season.

“Obviously, delighted with three points. Delighted with a clean sheet tonight,” head coach Emma Coates said. “In terms of, as far as away trips go, you know, four points on the road helps us build a bit of momentum into the next. (We’re) delighted with the performance today.”
Bay FC entered Friday eager for some redemption after blowing a two-goal lead in Sunday’s 2-2 draw on the road against Boston Legacy FC as the club played its first regular-season game in more than a month.
Claire Hutton scored her first NWSL goal in the draw and assisted Lema’s first goal of the season in that match, which saw Boston score in extra time of the first half and on a 78th-minute penalty.
