Free Slurpee Day falls on Saturday this year and will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 7-Eleven, Speedway and the Texas-based chain Stripes. Unusual for this era of mobile marketing, you don’t even need the app to claim your small Slurpee. Check for relevant signage, though: Some store operators want you to pick up your cup from a clerk.
This year’s special flavor is Mountain Dew Confetti Chill, described as lemon birthday cake (and a callout to one of Mountain Dew’s weirder flavors, 2021’s Cake Smash). Apparently, last year’s tongue tattoos are not making a return.

If you do have the 7-Eleven app and you scan it at the store on Slurpee Day, you’ll get a coupon for another free Slurpee during July.
Finally, all you 7-Eleven stans who planned to go all in and get the first-day drop of the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble in orange, green and red — you can stand down. The convenience store chain sued the shoe behemoth over the use of what 7-Eleven calls its “Tri-Color Mark,” and Nike has since pulled the shoe from its SNKRS app.
