BRENTWOOD — A project to make paving repairs to State Highway 4 will continue with full closures of the highway Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, according to Caltrans.

The paving project spans the highway from Hillcrest Avenue to the Byron Highway. Caltrans said workers will be applying the final layer of rubberized hot mix asphalt.
The closure begins at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and will remain in effect until 8 a.m. Wednesday. From 8 p.m. to midnight, Highway 4 will be closed from Lonetree Way to Balfour Road. From midnight Wednesday until 8 a.m., the highway will be closed from Lonetree Way to Walnut Boulevard.

Closures on Highway 4 already have been in place from Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. They are part of a project that’s expected to be completed in the summer of 2027.
