SAN PABLO — A pair of traffic stops conducted over consecutive days netted police a loaded gun, more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, the arrests of three adults and the detainment of a juvenile, police said.

The second of the two stops happened about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday with a motorcycle driver the object of police attention.
In an online statement, police said they found 108 grams of methamphetamine following a crash that happened when the motorcycle tried to speed away from an officer. Police in their statement did not say where it happened or where police originally tried to pull over the rider.
According to police, the motorcycle was missing its license plates, and the rider accelerated after spotting the officer. Police said the driver afer speeding up tried to pass another vehicle and hit the center median.
“Spoiler alert,” police wrote in their statement. “He did not get away.”
On Monday, police tried to pull over a car about 11 p.m. in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Van Ness Street for what they said was a vehicle code violation. Police said the car continued to drive for a few blocks; when it eventually stopped, a male driver and two female passengers ran from it.

Police said one of the passengers tossed aside a 9mm Glock onto the lawn of a property and that the other tried to hide underneath a parked car. Police said they caught up to the first immediately and that they found the second one after helpful tips from residents in the neighborhood.
The female under the car was a juvenile, police said. They released her to her parents.
The driver eventually came back to the car and drove it home. Police said officers were waiting for him at the residence and arrested him there.
