A star-studded lineup of music icons will headline Thursday’s grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center, the Obama Foundation announced Tuesday.

Legendary artists including Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder and U2’s Bono and The Edge join a list of award-winning performers set to take the stage during the dedication ceremony at the nearly 20-acre campus.
“This grand opening ceremony will be unlike any other — filled with music, performance, and hope,” Valerie Jarrett, CEO of the Obama Foundation, said in a release. “The event will reflect a spirit of inspiration and joy, bolstered by performers who are generously sharing their talent. We hope to inspire people everywhere to believe in their own power to bring change home.”
President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama will launch the Grand Opening Weekend at 11 a.m. CT Thursday. The festivities at John Lewis Plaza will stream live on the Obama Foundation’s YouTube and social media channels.

According to the foundation, the livestreamed celebration will bring together global leaders, artists and changemakers to honor the values that shaped the Obama presidency and continue to inspire civic engagement worldwide.
The Obama Presidential Center officially opens to the public this Friday, coinciding with Juneteenth. The four-story museum offers visitors an immersive experience featuring interactive timelines, exhibits, videos narrated by the former president and a replica of the Oval Office.
