REDWOOD CITY – A traffic stop ended in the arrest of two men and the seizure of more than 20 pounds of methamphetamine Tuesday in Redwood City, police said.

Detectives stopped the car around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Spring Street, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
Twenty pounds of methamphetamine were found inside the car, police said, adding that detectives seized another three pounds when they served a warrant at a home in the 100 block of Broadway.
The occupants – identified as a 52-year-old Redwood City man and a 41-year-old Oakland man – were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine and conspiracy to commit a felony, police said.

During the stop, a 37-year-old Redwood City man backed into a cop car and left the scene, police said. Officers followed him to the 700 block of Barron Avenue, where he hid inside a mobile trailer but was ultimately cited for reckless driving and hit and run.
Police said two other people were cited for obstructing officers during their investigation into the collision.
