The gunfire was reported at 10:14 a.m. on Cottle Road just north of where Beswick Drive turns into Raleigh Road, amid a series of nondescript medical offices housed across the street from a busy shopping plaza, according to a social-media post from the San Jose Police Department.
Police said both wounded people were transported with life-threatening injuries. The department did not immediately release additional details other than stating a belief that the shooting was “an isolated incident,” and declined comment when asked if the suspected shooter is outstanding or among the injured parties.
