SAN RAMON — A 19-year-old man that investigators believe was responsible for a string of burglaries at commercial buildings in Contra Costa, Alameda and Santa Clara counties has been arrested, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police said they have identified other potential suspects and are working to establish their involvement in the burglaries.
In a statement, San Ramon police said they arrested the man on Sept. 16 at the Alameda County Probation Office in Dublin, where the man had arrived for a probation meeting. They arrested him before the meeting started.
San Ramon police and Dublin police received warrants to search the man’s vehicle and his Pleasanton residence following the arrest. Police said they found evidence in both locations that they believe are tied to the burglaries.
The burglaries occurred in San Ramon, Dublin, Liveremore, Pleasanton and Milpitas, and those departments also were involved in the investigation.
