SAN JOSE – A 58-year-old San Jose man pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to distribute child sexual abuse material, authorities said.

Scott Keith Baldwin Jr., who also lives in Virginia, was an active member of an invite-only group on a messaging platform dedicated to sharing CSAM, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
A hard drive filled with CSAM was found during a search of Baldwin’s San Jose home in July 2024, authorities said. The material included images of prepubescent minors.

Baldwin is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 12. He faces a minimum of five years in prison, but could receive up to 20 years, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
