SAN JOSE — A woman has been arrested on suspicion of hate crimes and stalking in San Jose, police said.

Officers were initially called to the 6400 block of Aspen Creek on Sunday for a report of a “hate-motivated incident,” according to the San Jose Police Department.
Police said the suspect approached a father and child in her car multiple times and made discriminatory remarks to them.
One of the encounters appears to have been caught on camera. In a 44-second video posted to social media, a father states he was with his 6-year-old daughter when they were harassed multiple times by a woman in their South San Jose neighborhood.
A woman in a Honda Fit claims to “work with the feds” and accuses the father of sex-trafficking the child, according to the recording.
“That’s a white little girl and you are a man of color,” she says. “I believe you are either buying or selling … this child.”
The woman then quotes a Bible verse and leaves. “My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of God from their grip,” she says. “Burn in hell, you will.”
Police said officers used automated license plate reader technology to identify the woman and her vehicle.
During the investigation, officers learned the suspect was responsible for a series of other incidents, including one at a high school on Wednesday, according to police.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of multiple offenses, including hate crimes and stalking, and was booked into Santa Clara County jail, police said. She was not identified Thursday.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
