“Love After Lockup” star Amber Eggers died after a brief hospitalization in Georgia, according to a report. She was 41 years old.

Eggers died Thursday night at a hospital in Atlanta, where she was admitted days earlier after she complained she did not feel well, her mother, Monica Eggers, told TMZ. Monica said the doctors were unable to keep here daughter’s heart beating and that she ultimately succumbed to acute liver failure.
Eggers, who was most recently working as a manager at Sidelines Grille in Canton, appeared on the second season on “Love After Lockup.” She was arrested for drug trafficking, and she served a four-year prison sentence, during which she famously dated Vincent Gonzalez. The pair eventually became engaged and remained together for brief time after her release, though they did eventually end their relationship.
Eggers also connected with her cellmate, Michelle “Puppy” Deaton while behind bars. Deaton served six years in prison for drug trafficking, and Eggers was there to pick her up when she was released.

“Whenever I didn’t love myself, Amber was there to love me,” Deaton said at the time. “I honestly don’t think I would have made it without Amber.”
According to reality TV blogger MerryPants, Eggers had been suffering health issues over the last few years. She was apparently hospitalized with pneumonia that turned into sepsis resulting multiple organ failure. More recently, she suffered a mini stroke.
