REDWOOD CITY — Authorities on Monday arrested a 28-year-old East Palo Alto man in connection with a series of bicycle thefts from Caltrain.
Ten separate thefts happened on train cars between May and August, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies launched an investigation and identified a suspect using footage provided by Caltrain.
The sheriff’s office said deputies found the suspect at a hotel in Hayward. He was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and petty theft and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City.
