BOSTON — The Giants announced that shortstop Willy Adames left Sunday’s series finale against the Boston Red Sox with a left elbow injury, while left fielder Victor Bericoto left the game with a right knee injury.

They are both continuing to be evaluated.
Adames has been dealing with back issues for most of the season, but the left elbow injury is a new ailment. The injury appeared to happen when Adames slid home to score in the top of the first inning.
Bericoto injured his right knee when attempting to catch a fly ball in the bottom of the fifth off the bat of Andruw Monasterio. Monasterio was called out due to fan interference, but not before Bericoto awkwardly collided with the wall in foul territory and instantly went to the ground.

After meeting with the Giants’ training staff, Bericoto walked off the field very gingerly but under his own power. He was due to lead off the top of the sixth, but was lifted for a pinch hitter.
