An evacuation order was called late Sunday in the area of the Timber Fire, in Big Sur.
The wildfire was reported Saturday night in the hills above the Big Sur Inn. As of Sunday evening, it was mapped at 400 acres, with 5% containment, according to fire managers for the National Forest Service.
The evacuation was ordered shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday.
The map above shows the evacuation zone in red. Warnings have been issued for areas to the north and the south.
