ANTIOCH — An 18-year-old woman police believe was an unintended target was wounded in a drive-by shooting Sunday night.

The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released from a hospital. Police said she is an Oakley resident.
No other injuries were reported.
The shooting happened about 10:36 p.m. Sunday in the Sycamore Square shopping center in the area of Sycamore Drive and Peppertree Way.
Officers responding to a reported shooting located 26 spent shell casings in the roadway, the shots being fired from a passing vehicle, police said. No buildings or vehicles were struck, police said

Police later learned the woman had been struck by gunfire and had been taken to a hospital. She had just exited a liquor/convenience store at the shopping center when the shooting happened and investigators believe she was not the intended target and was inadvertently struck by gunfire, the release said.
Police did not release a motive for the shooting or say how many suspects they believe were involved.
