Bay FC brought in new striker Agostina Holzheier on Friday as the club continues to remake its roster.

Holzheier, an Argentina international, has signed a four-year deal through 2029, with a fifth-year option. She will join the team once her visa is cleared.
“She is an exciting, tenacious and creative player who will bring quality and intensity to our squad,” Bay FC coach Emma Coates said in a team statement. “Agostina has a competitive mentality and playing characteristics that fit what we are building at Bay FC.”
The 22-year-old forward arrives from Racing Club in Argentina’s top division. She scored seven goals in club play as Racing topped the league in Argentina’s spring season.

“This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in my career, challenge myself in a new league and represent a club with big ambitions,” Holzheier said.
On the same day, Bay sent center back Brooklyn Courtnall out on loan to San Diego Wave FC for the rest of the season. Courtnall had 11 appearances and seven starts for Bay this season, and 18 appearances total for the club after arriving on loan from the North Carolina Courage midway through last season.
Coates said Courtnall, 23, “remains an important part of our long-term plans.”
At the halfway point of its season, Bay is 14th in the 16-team NWSL and has taken on a youth movement, particularly in the midfield, where Claire Hutton and Kennedy Fuller have joined the fold in 2026.
