With the 90th overall pick in the MLB draft, the Giants drafted Peyton Bonds, nephew of Barry Bonds and grandson of the late Bobby Bonds.
Peyton Bonds, an outfielder listed at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, finished his junior season at Rutgers with 31 runs scored and 29 RBI in 36 games.

Bonds, who turns 21 next week, played alongside Trevor Cohen, who was San Francisco’s third-round selection in last year’s draft.
