SF Giants’ Webb named National League Pitcher of the Month for June

DENVER — Logan Webb was named National League Pitcher of the Month for the first time in his career on Friday morning following one of his most dominant five-start stretches.

Webb becomes the 17th Giant to win the award and the first since teammate Robbie Ray in May 2025.

San Francisco’s ace finished June having allowed just three earned runs over five starts, his 0.71 ERA over 38 innings being the lowest in a single month by a Giant since Noah Lowry had a 0.69 ERA in August 2005.

The two-time All-Star pitched at least seven innings in all five outings, including three straight of at least eight innings. Webb is the first Giant since Madison Bumgarner in 2013 to pitch at least five straight starts of at least seven innings while allowing two runs or fewer.

Webb began his stellar month by giving up just one hit over seven shutout innings against the Milwaukee Brewers on June 3, taking a no-hitter into the seventh before allowing a single to Team USA teammate Brice Turang.

The right-hander followed that start with three straight eight-inning outings, allowing one run to the Washington Nationals, one to the Chicago Cubs (unearned) and two to the Miami Marlins. Webb concluded his month with seven shutout innings against the Atlanta Braves despite feeling under the weather.

Since coming off the injured list on May 29, Webb has trimmed his ERA from 5.06 to 3.09. He’s unlikely to earn his third career All-Star selection, given that he missed several weeks with a right knee injury after struggling to start the season, but Webb has at least put his name back in the conversation.

Webb is slated to start on Friday against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in the opener of a three-game series.
