SAN JOSE — A motorcyclist has died from injuries he suffered in a collision with a pickup truck last week in San Jose, police said.

The crash happened in the 1000 block of North 10th Street just before 2 p.m. on June 22, according to San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih.
Shih said the motorcyclist, an adult man, was taken to an area hospital with major injuries. He was later stabilized, but on Wednesday, detectives were notified he had died from his injuries.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified.
An initial investigation revealed a man in a 2001 Toyota Tundra was turning left into a parking lot from northbound North 10th Street when he was struck by a man riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the southbound direction, according to Shih.

Shih said the driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The death marked San Jose’s 23rd traffic fatality of the year. The city had recorded 14 deaths at this point in 2025.
