HAYWARD — A fire scorched 25 acres Friday afternoon in Hayward, according to Cal Fire.

The blaze, dubbed the Calhoun Fire, broke out near Calhoun Street and Kellogg Avenue, Cal Fire said in an incident report.

As of 4 p.m., firefighters had stopped the blaze’s forward progress, according to Watch Duty, an app that tracks wildfires. Cal Fire said the blaze was 0% contained.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
Cal Fire said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
