ALAMO — A 3.6 magnitude earthquake centered in Alamo on Sunday morning was also felt in surrounding cities, officials said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The quake was recorded at 8:37 a.m. Sunday about 1.1 miles southwest of Alamo, the U.S. Geographical Survey said.
It originated more than 8 miles underground, officials said.
The quake was also felt in other cities, including Danville and Walnut Creek, officials said.

It is the first significant-sized quake in the area in months. Between Nov. 9 and mid-January, more than 90 quakes with a magnitude greater than 2.0 have been felt. The largest in that stretch was 4.2 magnitude.
