SAN JOSE — A man was arrested May 28 after allegedly shooting a firearm into an occupied vehicle earlier in the month, authorities said.

The 46-year-old resident of San Jose was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of firearm-related crimes, drug-related charges and recklessly evading officers, according to a press release from the San Jose Police Department.
Just after 2 p.m. on May 1, authorities responded to the area of Kiely Boulevard and Northlake Drive, authorities said. They found that a male suspect pulled up in his vehicle next to the vehicle of an adult male victim, then pulled out a firearm and fired a shot. The victim’s vehicle was struck by at least one gunshot, but he was uninjured.
The suspect then fled the scene, authorities added.
Officers who responded to the incident were able to identify the suspect and locate his vehicle, but the suspect fled as officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, authorities said. He was later arrested in San Jose.

At the time of his arrest, officers found that the suspect was in possession of two loaded firearms, ammunition and “various narcotics,” authorities said. Detectives also obtained a search warrant for his residence, where they found more ammunition, firearm magazines, drug paraphernalia and narcotics.
