CONCORD — Two people suspected in a theft at a beauty store in the Willows Shopping Center were arrested Wednesday, police said.

Officers recovered the stolen merchandise that police said the duo took from the Ultra Beauty store the mall located in the 1900 block of Diamond Boulevard. The theft happened about 3 p.m.
In a statement, police said the two people reportedly entered the store and began grabbing many fragrances. The two then fled the store and drove from the area in a silver sedan, police said.
Officers later found the two suspects after they had exited the vehice, police said. The officers located them at Thunderbird Drive and Cardinal Drive.

Police said officers detained one of the two suspects immediately. The other jumped a fence into a backyard and was arrested after being found during a yard-to-yard search by officers, police said.
Police did not identify the two, and it was unclear whether they remained in custody Thursday morning.
