A motorcyclist died in a collision with a motorist in South San Jose on Sunday morning, police said.

The deadly crash was reported at 11:48 a.m. near Almaden and McKean Roads, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Police said the rider was rushed to a hospital and was pronounced dead. His name was not publicly released pending his formal identification and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner, but the office has listed him as a 21-year-old man.
The driver involved in the collision stopped at the scene, police said. There was no immediate indication that the motorist was arrested or cited.
The crash marked the city’s 38th traffic death of the year and the fourth to involve a motorcyclist who died, according to data compiled by this news organization. San Jose had recorded 27 roadway deaths at the same point in 2025.
