An adult male in Brentwood was taken to a local hospital Friday with “several stab wounds to his lower torso,” and police arrested a suspect, officers said.

Brentwood police said in a news release that officers responded at about 8 pm to the 2000 block of Elkins Way. They arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of stabbing the man. The victim is “expected to survive,” police said.

“All evidence indicates this was an isolated incident,” police said.
Police have not released the names of the victim or suspect.
