Police in Antioch are investigating a shooting that injured a teenager on Sept. 26 as he left a house party.

Several people called the Antioch Police Department’s dispatch center at 8:56 p.m. on Saturday for five or six gunshots on the 5400 block of Prewett Ranch Drive, according to a police statement released Sunday.
Officers then learned that a teenager was dropped off at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. When they went to the hospital, they found a 16-year-old male who lives in Brentwood with a gunshot wound.
The teenager told police he was leaving a house party on Prewett Ranch Drive when the shooting happened, according to the police statement.

“Officers processing the scene on Prewett Ranch Drive confirmed the shooting was connected to the nearby house party,” the statement said. “During the preliminary investigation, officers also discovered that two nearby residences had been struck by gunfire.”
No additional injuries were reported.
The Antioch Police Department is asking people to contact the department if they have information, or if they have home surveillance or dashcam footage from around the time of the shooting.
