Musician Jonathan Mel\u00e9ndez was killed in Mexico alongside his pregnant wife, 3-year-old daughter and their nanny, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The deadly violence unfolded in an upscale neighborhood near Mexico City Tuesday night, likely between 5:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m., CNN reported, citing the State of Mexico Attorney General\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Mel\u00e9ndez, the keyboardist for indie rock band Camilo S\u00e9ptimo, was found fatally shot inside his apartment as was his wife, 35-year-old Ana Paula, who was four months pregnant. Their 3-year-old daughter, a 21-year-old woman, Aleida Romero Victorio, and the family\u2019s dog were also found dead in the home, tucked in a residential complex in the municipality of Atizap\u00e1n de Zaragoza.<\/p>\n

Victorio was identified by family, who confirmed she worked for the couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was a very hardworking and responsible girl who did not deserve for this to be done to her,\u201d her aunt, Lorena Victorio Cabrera, told CNN.<\/p>\n

Three of the victims \u2014 including the young girl \u2014 were shot in the head, while the other was shot in the back, the prosecutor\u2019s office said, adding that two of the victims were found with their hands tied. The dog also had its legs bound, officials noted.<\/p>\n

Responding officers also found a 6-year-old boy at the scene, reportedly Mel\u00e9ndez\u2019s son, who was alive and unharmed, the office said.<\/p>\n

Two people have since been arrested in connection with the grisly killings. One of the suspects was identified by authorities as Diego Sebasti\u00e1n \u201cN\u201d \u2014 a business partner of the victim, who \u201callegedly used that relationship of trust to gain access to the residence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the tragic news, Camilo S\u00e9ptimo took to social media to pay tribute to their keyboardist.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith deep sorrow we say goodbye to our dear brother, Jonathan Samuel Mel\u00e9ndez Ochoa. To his wife, Ana Paula and his daughter, Sof\u00eda. They will live forever in our hearts,\u201d the group wrote in Spanish.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will always remember him with immense love and gratitude,\u201d they continued. \u201cToday we honor and celebrate his life, his music, his light and what we shared with those of us who were lucky enough to know him and make his way with him.\u201d<\/p>\n
