Perry is being held in the Sacramento jail after U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge Carolyn K. Delaney ordered him held, citing the \u201cstrong\u201d weight of evidence, the fact that Perry was on probation at the time, and that the allegations involve \u201ca federal crime of terrorism,\u201d among other factors.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say Perry is one of the men who participated in a chat thread entitled \u201cLion\u2019s Den,\u201d where members allegedly planned to use drones to bomb the White House and snipe \u201chigh value targets,\u201d including government officials.<\/p>\n<p>One of the plot\u2019s alleged leaders \u2014 who named himself the \u201cShepherd\u201d of the Lion\u2019s Den, according to prosecutors \u2014 reportedly assigned Perry to a California team that was supposed to target data centers and a specific tech company based in the South Bay. The company, which is not named, is described only as a \u201cprominent software company with offices in California and specializing in data analytics\u201d and has offices in Palo Alto. The data centers allegedly targeted were in Santa Clara, Sacramento, and around San Francisco, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Perry and the alleged plot leader, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, discussed plans to carry out data center attacks in June, days before the FBI says the UFC 250 attack was to take place, according to court records. It all unraveled when a 19-year-old Ohio man\u2019s parents called the Knox County Sheriff and told on their son, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<p>The parents of Tycen Proper told police that he was becoming obsessed with participating in \u201crecon\u201d that involved camping in the woods with guns and ammunition, and that he seemed fixated on \u201cgovernment corruption, the handling of the Epstein files, data centers taking up all the water in communities and other government actions.\u201d His mother said he\u2019d been spending time talking with others online who purported to be part of some \u201cChristian-based ideology,\u201d ex-military, and anti-government. Proper later allegedly admitted to plotting the UFC 250 attack and described it in full to the FBI, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n<p>Searches of Proper\u2019s phone let to the discovery of the Lion\u2019s Den chat, which in turn helped the FBI identify Alvarez and four others, but not Perry. Their arrests were announced in June, prompting Perry to delete the Signal app on his phone, according to the complaint. All five weapons were inherited from his grandfather, the complaint says. Boxes of ammunition were also found, including one with \u201cWWIII\u201d written on it, the complaint alleges. He\u2019s not allowed to carry guns due to prior convictions, including a 2025 drug conviction in Solano County, for which he is still on probation, court records show.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Federal investigators searched Perry\u2019s Instagram account, where he frequently posts about politics and globalism, including President Donald Trump and the Epstein files. His final Instagram post before his arrest is a video Perry starts by saying, \u201cit\u2019s pretty much common knowledge by now that the world is run by a cabal of satanic pedophiles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his chats with Alvarez, Perry allegedly bragged about being a lifelong criminal who is \u201carmed\u201d but \u201cnot supposed to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been selling drugs since I was a teenager. I\u2019ve engaged in a slough of different criminal activities ranging from drugs and fraud and others I can\u2019t really speak of,\u201d Perry allegedly wrote. He later said he \u201cprefers non-violence\u201d but is willing to make an exception when \u201cs\u2014 hits the fan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez described how various plots would fit together, telling others in the chat that he was organizing groups around the country to take up arms and act, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cYou will when you see it.
