Maybe I\u2019ll never be okay,\u201d the 36-year-old literacy advocate posted on Threads Monday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: Bay Area librarian and TikTok star Mychal Threets works to spread \u2018library joy\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Threets didn\u2019t say what was troubling him, but assured supporters he would get treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m seeking help. Going to the hospital tomorrow,\u201d Threets wrote. \u201cIn this moment I am safe. He announced in February 2024 that he was leaving his job at the Fairfield Civic Center Library after a decade of service so he could focus on her own well-being. Threets regularly uses social media to promote reading and positivity in general.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025 he was tapped to host an online revival of the children\u2019s program \u201cReading Rainbow,\u201d which dates back to 1983. Neither Threets not the show\u2019s producers could be reached for comment Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Threets thanked fans at the start of the week for their support over the years.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cNo matter what happens to me I will always be thankful for the extraordinary people in my life who worry, who help me,\u201d he posted. \u201cThank you for your care.
