{"id":7280,"date":"2026-08-20T07:36:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T07:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=7280"},"modified":"2026-08-20T07:36:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T07:36:17","slug":"los-gatos-shopping-center-adds-new-grocery-store-and-fitness-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=7280","title":{"rendered":"Los Gatos shopping center adds new grocery store and fitness club"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<p>LOS GATOS \u2014 A new community grocery store and fitness club are set to replace major tenants that had departed a Los Gatos shopping center.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=7278\">How Valkyries star\u2019s elite defense overshadows her scoring breakout<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gus\u2019s Community Market, a family-owned grocery store, and Club Studio, a fitness center, each signed leases for spaces at Cornerstone of Los Gatos.<\/p>\n<p>The grocery store will take over an 18,000-square-foot site once occupied by Whole Foods Market at 15980 Los Gatos Blvd. after Whole Foods relocated to a larger location in the city.<\/p>\n<p>The fitness center occupies a 19,000-square-foot space at 15920 Los Gatos Blvd. where Rite Aid had operated until the retail chain went through a bankruptcy and shut down all its physical sites.<\/p>\n<p>With the two leases, Cilker, the Los Gatos-based real estate manager for the shopping center, has successfully repositioned it after the departures of key retailers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to successfully complete the strategic asset management and leasing plan that brings new and vibrant tenants to the Uptown Los Gatos community,\u201d said Keyston Smith, chief executive officer of Cilker.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nextcitydigest.com\/?p=7276\">Preseason all-Bay Area News Group high school football 2026: Running backs\/athletes<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gus\u2019s Community Markets opened its first of five locations in San Francisco when co-founders Gus Vardakastanis and his father Dimitri Vardakastanis launched Haight-Ashbury Produce in 1981.
