Jones, the banker who, while an executive at Republic National Bank of Dallas in the early 1960s, lent Walmart founder Sam Walton money Walton would later transfer to create Walmart. Jones would also serve as founding director of Walmart stores, and in 1975, he moved to Hillsborough to lead the Bank of California.<\/p>\n<p>Public records show that Jones paid $350,000 at the time for the estate.<\/p>\n<p>Built in 1931, the Spanish Revival-style property now spans 6,310 square feet and has six bedrooms and seven baths, including a separate one-bedroom, one-bath guest home. The main house has vaulted ceilings, arched doorways and all-wood beamed ceilings.
