When they arrived at the residence around 2 a.m., they found Sheets, \u201cwho suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He was pronounced dead on the scene at the age of 67 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Sheet\u2019s girlfriend recalled for authorities how he woke up in the middle of the night that night and how she discovered him standing in the middle of a doorway moments later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo back to sleep,\u201d he told her. Then, a single gunshot rang out, she said, per the report.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sheets was also dealing with some family troubles in the days leading up to his death. He, however, has not been cooperative and denied having anything to do with Sheets\u2019 death, NBC News reported.<\/p>\n<p>Sheets found fame on the hit show\u00a0\u201cStorage Wars,\u201d which tracks professional buyers as they bid on abandoned storage lockers and their unknown contents.
