Free Slurpee Day falls on Saturday this year and will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 7-Eleven, Speedway and the Texas-based chain Stripes. Unusual for this era of mobile marketing, you don\u2019t even need the app to claim your small Slurpee. Check for relevant signage, though: Some store operators want you to pick up your cup from a clerk.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s special flavor is Mountain Dew Confetti Chill, described as lemon birthday cake (and a callout to one of Mountain Dew\u2019s weirder flavors, 2021\u2019s Cake Smash). Apparently, last year\u2019s tongue tattoos are not making a return.<\/p>\n

If you do have the 7-Eleven app and you scan it at the store on Slurpee Day, you\u2019ll get a coupon for another free Slurpee during July.<\/p>\n

Finally, all you 7-Eleven stans who planned to go all in and get the first-day drop of the Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble in orange, green and red \u2014 you can stand down. The convenience store chain sued the shoe behemoth over the use of what 7-Eleven calls its \u201cTri-Color Mark,\u201d and Nike has since pulled the shoe from its SNKRS app.<\/p>\n
